Hello! Hope you all had a great August and a nice Labor Day weekend. Our August was packed full of lots of good things. We got to sneak in a few fun summer activities that we hadn’t managed to do so far. Good thing too, because the Ohio air has definitely changed. September is our last full month of farmer’s markets! We’re sad to see the season end, but also excited for the next chapter and slower weekends. Here is when you can find us where this month:

Feta and Oyster Mushroom Dip

I have shared this recipe more than once before, but it’s such a good once I thought I would throw it in here for you guys. This is such a unique recipe and definitely gets the conversation going at your next potluck or party. Anyone who likes feta cheese will love this one. 🙂

Lion’s Mane Ceviche

I have had this recipe saved all summer but I never got around to making it! So this is me sharing it with you all as my resolution to make it before the fresh tomatoes are done for the season. Since I haven’t made it, I don’t really know if it’s good, but I love this idea! It’s easy to find decadent pastas, and winter soups made with mushrooms, but I find it harder to find fresh, light mushroom recipes. This certainly looks like it will fit that bill. let me know if you try it and I’ll report back after I do too!

  • Stoodt’s Fresh Market in Bellville, Ohio. This great little grocery offers a good selection of fresh produce, baked goods, and pantry items. They source local and natural products when possible on top of their nice selection of grocery staples.

  • Sweet Grass Dairy of Ohio - This charming farm store offers pasture raised meats, eggs, and dairy products. They raise all their own meats as well as producing all their own dairy products in their on-farm creamery. We keep mushrooms stocked in the fridge at this location.
